She did it again!

On Sunday, February 5, we traveled to the countryside to preach the Good News in the village of Lvea in the countryside to the west of Phnom Penh and not so far from some of the SNACK Villages.  Nen, the Partners in Progress, Back-to-School Program administrator had informed Veasna that there were some believers in that village who were very interested in someone coming to teach them more Bible.  Nen has been a real blessing to the Lord’s work in so many ways, but certainly a blessing in locating seekers.  Bob & Sandy Jackson (visiting from Lubbock and teaching at CBI), Veasna, 5 CBI students, Sharon, Theary (our daughter) and Dennis traveled out to Lvea for this Sunday mission.

Veasna and Dennis taught for about 2 hours and then it was time to return to the city.  As we entered the van to return, I suggested to Theary and Makara (CBI student) that the two them should preach the Good News to the other two CBI students who were not yet Christians.  (It is not unusual for CBI to accept new students who are believers, but are not yet Christians. Every one of them have later come to obedient faith.)

You may recall that about a year ago, two weeks after becoming a Christian, our daughter Theary had done the same sort of thing when she taught the gospel to Makara and SreyTouch as we journeyed back from a similar activity.  Later that evening, those two girls clothed themselves with Christ by grace and power of God.  Halleluiah!  See old blog post here:

As a result of the Theary and Makara teaching Rotha as we traveled back to Phnom Penh, Rotha decided he wanted to become a Christian.  After we arrived at the BEST Center (meeting location for the University church of Christ), Rotha was baptized into Christ Jesus.  Once again, we are shouting praises of rejoicing heavenward to join the might chorus of angels in the throne-room of God.  Thanks to fruit-bearing true disciples willing to share the good news, the Kingdom of God continues to grow in Cambodia.

Great news! We have never met our sisters, Theary and Makara, but we already love them! May God bless the efforts to reach the lost in (Cambodia &) Thailand!
