Reflections – Struggles – Deaths

We hope to carry you with us back through a small slice of the faith journey we have walked in the last three years.  In such a short time we have sojourned with you at our side.  Our walk towards HIS marvelous light has left HIS mark on us, on our faith and hopefully on you as well.  Walk again with us for a few moments into the past three years to share in our praises of HIM WHO SAVES.

One of the many gifts each of us enjoys from our loving FATHER is the struggles HE places before us.  One valley of struggle through which we both journeyed to begin our climb of the mountain of GOD was the valley of death.  In the summer of ’06, Dennis’ dad, Paul Welch-servant of the LORD JESUS CHRIST passed from this life knowing the LORD’s salvation and that his family was faithful.  He is surely resting in peace.  Seven weeks later, Ms. Judy Hornsby, CHRIST’s servant and a special sister to so many, slipped from this physical life with incredible faith.  Her joyful spirit continues on in Sharon, Judy’s special gift to this world.

When our life-focus had shifted from self to pursuit of GOD’s righteousness, through these struggles HE gave us opportunity to serve, to grow, to demonstrate our faith in HIM.  HE showed us HIS sovereignty in the midst of showing us HIS love.  HE gave us you, our precious brothers and sisters to help us through the tears.  HE gave us everything we needed…and continues to do so…just as HE promised.  Oh, HE is so faithful!
