DEPARTURE ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are excited to announce the purchase of our “ONE-WAY TICKETS” to Phnom Penh, Cambodia!!! We depart DFW on Monday evening, August 25th and arrive on the 27th.  Clicking “Purchase Tickets” was done with much rejoicing and some trepidation of all a one-way ticket really means.  It gives us lots to rejoice and to pray about.  Please join us in prayer!

Awesome! You may get there before we get to OZ! You guys will do so great. I know our country and the church here will miss two lovely spirited people like you. I hope you do so well that your disciples come and do mission work here!
Keep smiling … we love you … Craig and Tomya

  2. I have your website set on my Favorites List, and I check it ever so often to see if anything is new. I read your latest comment and got this horrible sinking feeling in my stomach, as the time is coming closer for you to leave and reality is sinking in (even for me) that you will actually be moving there! I’m so proud of you both, for all you’ve done in these last couple years to prepare yourself and grow in the Lord. But, I have to admit that I am saddened too… because I have come to love you so dearly. I will certainly miss being around you so much, I will miss you here at school and the conversations we have…but I know that I will see you again, and hopefully more often than not.
    Love you lots! –Me

  3. Daughter Jessica says:

Sorry if I made you cry with my comment. I guess I would rather you cry than not cry… because crying means that it means something to you. You mean something to me–that’s why I’ll cry. I just want you to always know how much you mean to me… which is “a lot”! 🙂

  4. Laura says:

I can’t wait to start sending you care packages!!! Hooray for mail!!!

  5. George Carman says:

With joy we read your news of the “one-way” ticket. Having experienced such ourselves, we know the mixed emotions you feel, but the joy outweights the fears. May God bless you and use you for the spread of His kingdom in Cambodia.

    Love,

    George and Hilda

  6. Judy McGee says:

Congratulations! I am sure you are feeling an array of emotions, but I know the strongest one you feel is JOY at seeing your dream coming to realization. May God use you in His Kingdom more and more and may you remain strong and healthy while you do this good work. When I read your comments about the one way ticket, I felt pride for you, but also a few tears welling up as it is sads to be far apart (even though we are in Germany now) it is such a big step for you to actually go. We love you and are praying for you. Wish we could be there to see you graduate! Love, CLiff, Judy, Jake, and Leeanna

  7. Charlee and Dave says:

Dave says that the cost of the tickets are probably double what they were last time. Wow, this is sort of like getting past the engagement ring. This is buying and mailing the wedding invitations and renting the church: even hiring the preacher.

Dennis, just remember that you embarked on this road to have more BALANCE in your life. Remember that balance is having as much time available for all aspects of life, not just the spiritual. There is a fine line there, and if you are not careful, you will be no more balanced in your life than you were before. Make time for your wife. Make time to laugh. Find a hobby. Learn to be a well rounded person. Never forget the lesson in Frankenstein—–just because you can, doesn’t mean that you should. Dave says remember the correct answer is “but I’m here to share this with you”.

Sharon, you can not even begin to know how much I miss you and love you. If ever there is a chance that I would pray, it would be for your safety and happiness and that you find all the fulfillment of life that you ever wanted or imagined. It is hard for me to get my head around this——I still just can’t believe you are going. I still expect you to show up across the road and up the hill. The Lord never forgot about you. He has ALWAYS been there for you. You just need to look in the mirror and see how special you are. Every person whose life you touch is blessed.

    Love,

    Charlee and Dave

  8. Fran and Del Younglas says:

Congratulations to both of you, Good Luck and may God be with you!

  9. larry henderson says:

It has been almost three years since we met at the Asian fellowship dinner hosted by the Hilltop church in Roanoke. I was so blessed by the short time we spent together that night and have been encouraged at every step of your journey with God. To know that you are now headed to Cambodia without a ticket to return to the States is wonderful! Our God is so great and we give him praise for what he is doing and will continue to do through you! Blessings and prayers, larry & Pam
