Easter Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Today we celebrated the Lord’s Day with an awesome sermon from Charles Speer:   1 Corinthians 15:12-19 says if Christ is not resurrected, we are to be pitied more than all men.

However, “Since He Lives…”

Ø       The Bible is TRUE!  vv. 14,15

Ø       Our Faith is FOUNDED! vv.14,17

Ø       We are FORGIVEN! v. 17

Ø       The dead are ALIVE!  v. 19

Ø       Christians are SAVED! v. 18

PRAISE, GLORY, AND HONOR TO HIM.

Exhortation:“Stand firm. Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that labor in the Lord is not in vain.”  1 Corinthians 15:58

We then had some great fellowship and lunch with friends.

One Response to Easter Sunday, April 8th, 2007

  1. Nona Ballard says:

Charles Speers’ mother, Verna Mae, was one of my best friends in Richardson. We worshipped for a number of with her and his brother and family. I have lost contact with his parents and would like to know if they are still living. Verna Mae is a member at Waterview and I think that his brother, Steve, is a member at Buckingham Road.

    Just a note of interest.
